Leaving the land of smiles

Yes, tonite would be my last night in Thailand. So far, after I've gain, shed and gain some fat...I'm finally heading home. Yaay. I've tanned my skin, had a 90 baht haircut that nearly made me cry (I'm vain, yes, very vain) and a big tummy. I looked like I'm 3-months pregnant. Gonna shed that off sooner or later and gonna go back to my detox-yucky-diet. Eukks...ptui...ptui...wish me all the best of luck people!

And uni gonna start soon next month! I hate going back to uni, thinking of goin thru those inhumane days of sleepless nights and nightmare...turns me off completely. But for now, I'm hoping to go for some shopping therapy, some spa treatment and fooooooooooooood!!! Did I tell you that I've found a cheap place in Hat Yai selling cheap pants? I got 3 of them. Short pants for running around the neighbourhood while snapping pics...a real good deal for a multi-tasker like me.

Went for some aerobics today. It's fun! In fact I'm addicted to it in some way. It's such a nice feeling exercising together with so many people. Hehe...Okay, gonna stop for now, need to shower and pack pack pack.

Next stop: Singapore

Desperate Disney-housewives

Street Food of Hat Yai

Here are some of the food you can find on the streets of Hat Yai. I only managed to took 4 out of hundreds because my camera's battery life choose to be dead on me when I'm all ready to snap food pics. Sad...sad...

These are my favs!!! It's like a normal pau but it tastes 10000 times better than a ordinary pau. I have to queue up just to get some of these. Came in four tantalising flavour : kaya, meat floss, char siew and hot dog. Wow!!! It sells like hot cakes...er...hot paus

Hmm...I don't dare to try these. They do look delicious but my uncle told me that these will get you to be friends with the toilet bowl. And amazingly, your trip to the bathroom will multiply in an amazing number.

Roasted chestnuts...nothing special. Just like those you will find in Petaling Street.

The difference between Malaysian banana fritters and Thai banana fritters are:
a) Thai fritters are sweeter and the taste is more unique, with a splash of coconut milk feeling.
b) Malaysian banana fritters are chunky and big. Taste normal.

Productive

Today I m the housemaid. I swept the floor with my uncle. He mopped the floor. And then did some gardeing and work again. How productive can I get?

I lead a very productive day yesterday. Morning I went for a swim and after that I work for a while and then I had a half and hour nap. Afterthat, I went and jog (well, half jog and half walk...walk la) for 3.2 km around a very beautiful man-made lake inside Prince of Songkla University in Hat Yai. But then I got exhausted and found a nice place to sit and then my hands got itchy telling me that I should actually snap someting for my blog readers to see...witout hesitation, the moment my butt landed on that white stool...I began to snap...snap and snap...

FYI, I m not stalking anyone...it's such a joy looking at people who's so determined to lead a healthy lifestyle wherelse a couch potato like me...determined to be pathetic. Their stamina is like 10000 times better than mine. Should exercise more often. I still wanna look like I m 21 when I turn 70. Haha.

A so when I got back, I did some gardening. Unbelievable someone like me will actually step into the garden and feel the grass. Amazing. I m amazed with myself. (err...actually I m having leg cramp so I refuse to sit down or take off my shoes, and then my grandaunt saw me...and she asked me to join her in).

Oh yah, the day before is more like the one I had yesterday. Went up to the highest peak of Hat Yai and snapped these:

And so...after climbing so many stairs...I followed my grandma to this wet market around town. WET MARKET!!! Oh I feel so sick. Because I never really enjoyed being in a wet market.

And then...when I got back...I continue with my work...and work and work and chat till midnight and went to bed. So now you see how bored my life is now?

Random pics of what's inside my stomach so far

Arghh...too messy. I m such a disorganised person at this moment. I'm gonna upload all my food pics. Yeah, I know I've been eating a lot. I think I've missed some of the food (because I'm too hungry and I m not bothered to snap it). So now, my grandaunt and uncle and also my grandma have been pushing me to do sports such as swimming and jogging. I have never felt so healthy in ages. Hehe.

Oh yah, those wan tan noodles are not mine. I m not a big fan of wan tan mee though. I m again just leeching some of my grandaunts.

Food recap...Just for Lunch on Day 2 - Betong

:: Random Shots 2 ::

Aha...see what I told u in the previous entry that most people who come to Betong only got one thing in their head. SEX. Even some massage parlour have to warned those horny uncles about it. No doubt there're a lot of massage parlours in Betong who offered such service. I should stop talking about this. If I go on I will offend some good-ol Betongians.

:: Random Shots ::

This pic was taken when some Malaysian car honk at us in the middle of the road. He saw me holding a camera and then he signaled me to take his pic. So while I was running, I thought I took his pic but instead of his pic I took my own boobs instead. What a shame. But I felt the story behind this pic is quite funny so I wanna share it with all of you. Hehe.

it's freaking 42 degrees outside!!!

It's a hot hot day today....42 degrees. I m again sweating like a pig. I've so many things to tell but I don't know where to start. Okay first the bad news, I will only be back home on the 8th instead of the 6th just because I ter"click" on the wrong column. Dang! U know how much I miss Malaysia? A lot!!! The good news is err...means more food and I'm gonna be a pig by the time I reach home. I'm already controlling what I ate, it's so suffering u know when food is everywhere but not in ur mouth. On the other hand, congrats to my god-sister, she'll be flying to Scotland on tuesday to futher her studies. Congrats!!! How I wish I got brains like hers and har hardworking-ness. She deserved it. Well done.

I just arrived in HatYai yesterday after a rocky van ride. Damn...no wonder they charged so cheap. 200 Baht for a 4 hour ride from Betong to HatYai. Damn. Never go on rides liek this, it's a warning. I nearly vomit my intestines out. It's damn bloody terrible. They will go on those route like ur pasta, never ending spiral road and did I mention the road is like back in 1960s? I wanted to vomit so much but because of my EGO, I stayed cool and relax. Malula...how to vomit? No plastic bags provided. And did I mention that's just the early 15 minutes of that horrible 4hour ride. I don't know how I survived. I keep on praying to whatever god existed to give me strength. Not only one god but all in the world. I rather sit at the back of this, it's way more comforatble than being inside a van stuffed with 9 strangers.
At least I got air...oxygen!!!

Looks so comfortable...fuh...oh yah...u see I havent got time to blog about Betong but I m already jumping to HatYai. Let's see, since I arrived, I've been eating, sleeping, eating, onlining, eating, chatting, eating, walking, eating. I got phobia for weight-scale now. Scared!!!
